Mexico is considered by companies in China, Israel and Spain, as the country with the highest potential for investment in solar energy. In recent years, in AV3 AEROVISUAL we have carried out inspections in ten photovoltaic fields producing more than 1500 Megawatts generated in the country, representing approximately 22% of the national capacity.
It is in this context that we recently had the honor of being invited to participate in the series of webinars sponsored by DJI Enterprise México with the talk “Aerial Inspection and Thermography in Large Photovoltaic Fields” held by our Administrative Director, Pedro Olivares Sáinz.
As a result of our experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in inspection work and aerial thermography in photovoltaic and wind farms, Pedro Olivares shared valuable knowledge with those who are currently implementing the use of drones, infrared sensors and thermal cameras for preventive and predictive maintenance for facilities where electricity is produced or generated.
Nowadays, considered as an essential activity for the preventive and predictive maintenance work of solar panels, aerial thermography with drones, according to Pedro Olivares, is a service that requires a perfect understanding of the logistics in the inspection work for the energy industry, and thus, to know which tools and technologies to use.
Qualitative and quantitative information, precise and reliable visualization, time and input savings, control and risk prevention, reduction of logistic costs, safety and return on investment; these were only some of the benefits that, in Pedro Olivares’ perspective, aerial thermography with drones provides when correctly implemented in inspection tasks.
We thank everyone who attended this webinar for joining us and especially Iván Sosa Kramer, Business Developer and Consultant at Dji Enterprise México for inviting us to be part of the activities that Dji is carrying out around the world in order to spread and promote the uses and benefits of the implementation of drones in different sectors of the industry.
