We will be attending the 12th edition of the European Conference on Precision Agriculture 2019 (ECPA). Montpellier will be hosting for the second time since the 3rd edition in 2001. Retaking a solid academic program, the conference will have strong links of agro-industry strengthening the relationships and the participation of different sectors.
Taking advantage of its location on the Mediterranean coast, this 12th edition will be an opportunity to focus on precision agriculture applied to small Mediterranean farms. The oral presentations will cover subjects such as: precision horticulture, precision viticulture, integrated detection systems, proximal and remote soil and crop detection, among others.
We will attend the presentations of Benjamin K. Addom, teacher at the Technical Center for Agriculture and Rural Cooperation (CTA), expert in digital solutions for agriculture. As well as Jean-Baptiste Féret, agronomist specialized in information and communication technologies applied to agriculture; and Alexandre Escolà, an engineer who during his thesis studied the relationship between the use of sensors to improve the application of pesticides in fruit orchards.
