{"id":60619,"date":"2021-11-29T18:36:24","date_gmt":"2021-11-29T18:36:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/av3aerovisual.com\/?post_type=av3-geo-exp&#038;p=60619"},"modified":"2023-05-18T16:31:44","modified_gmt":"2023-05-18T16:31:44","slug":"subsidence-study-carried-out-with-gravimetry","status":"publish","type":"av3-geo-exp","link":"https:\/\/av3aerovisual.com\/en\/geophysics-and-exploration\/subsidence-study-carried-out-with-gravimetry\/","title":{"rendered":"Subsidence study carried out with gravimetry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>SUBSIDENCE STUDY IN THE HISTORIC CENTER OF QUERETARO BASED ON URBAN MICROGRAVIMETRY, FOR PLANNING AND PRESERVATION OF THE HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE<\/strong><\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Microgravimetry implementation to identify risk and subsidence zones for the conservation and planning of the central squares of the <strong>Historic Center of the City of Queretaro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Subsidence in topography and geology is known as the vertical and horizontal movement of earth\u2019s surface, although the horizontal movement also occurs in this phenomenon it is the vertical changes that are more easily appreciated and identified. This kind of earth movement can critically affect urban and rural infrastructure as well as public services, deteriorating their structural integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In geophysics, microgravimetry is an exploration method that measures gravity changes which are subject to the density of earth materials, this information is used to determine ground conditions which is essential for urban and civil planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this project, AV3 Aerovisual participated with the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/tellus.geociencias.unam.mx\/\" target=\"_blank\">Geoscience Center<\/a> (<strong>CGEO<\/strong>, <em>by its Spanish initials<\/em>) managed by the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.unam.mx\/\" target=\"_blank\"> National Autonomous University<\/a> (<strong>UNAM<\/strong>) and the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gob.mx\/cenam\" target=\"_blank\">National Metrology Center<\/a> (<strong>CENAM<\/strong>), &nbsp;who were in charge of performing the microgravimetry and the establishment of absolute gravimeters. In addition, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ipicyt.edu.mx\/\" target=\"_blank\">Potosino Institute for Scientific and Technological Research<\/a> (<em>in Spanish, <strong>Instituto Potosino de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda<\/strong><\/em>) participated in the microgravimetry and differential GPS leveling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"FOTOGRAMETR\u00cdA DE PRECISI\u00d3N | CENTRO HIST\u00d3RICO DE QUER\u00c9TARO\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hJO5UCdOqwQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 17 missions were carried out for the construction of the main orthomosaic, covering a total area of approximately 1,033,110 m2. Excluding the flights that were performed to generate the digital models for the requested catalog of buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The construction of the orthomosaic, as well as the construction of the digital models for the building catalog, were carried out using <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pix4d.com\/es\" target=\"_blank\">Pix4D<\/a> software, which is one of the leaders in the market for this type of reconstructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3
